The latest round of thunderstorms hit Pitt County late Friday night, but conditions were fair enough Saturday morning and ideal early in the afternoon for about 90 amateur and professional disc golf players to hit the course at the ECU North Recreation Complex to help out East Carolina club disc golf.
The Pirates’ Cup event was the first Professional Disc Golf Association sanctioned tournament to be held at the ECU North Recreation Complex, which is the home course for the Pirate club team.
